Professor Adeeb Pagh who was famous for his work on geography and wrote a book about the Golan came from Jwezey.

It had a medical centre an elementary and high school and was home to a weather station. When the Israelis invaded the village there were hundreds of people living there and the Israeli forces displaced them and began destroying the village with bulldozers, and they established two settlements, Afik and Noot Golan.

Most of the houses in the town were built with volcanic stone. Everyone was forcibly displaced in 67, some of its houses were still standing in 1970.

It had a large school, large market, a mosque and electric generators.

Professor Adeeb Pagh who was famous for his work on geography and wrote a book about the Golan came from Jwezey.

Feek – located six kilometres from Lake Tiberias.

Afik settlement replaced Feek. (Photo available from 1953)

A lot of ancient artifacts were found in Feeq and are now housed in the national museum in Damascus. It was a regional centre for the district of Qunietra. It had a medical centre an elementary and high school and was home to a weather station. When the Israelis invaded the village there were hundreds of people living there and the Israeli forces displaced them and began destroying the village with bulldozers, and they established two settlements, Afik and Noot Golan.
