Israeli Finance Ministry has approved plans for the construction of 1600 settlement units in the illegal Israeli settlement of Katzrin in the Occupied Syrian Golan.
Al-Marsad called for a policy of visa-free or visa on arrival access for the Syrian population holding permanent residency status in the Occupied Syrian Golan, on an equal basis as that of Israeli nationals.
Al-Marsad – Arab Human Rights Centre in Golan Heights (“Al-Marsad”), Al-Haq, and Cornell Law School’s International Human Rights Clinic have submitted a joint parallel report to the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (“Committee”). The report was submitted for the Committee’s consideration as it is due to begin its review of Israel’s fourth periodic report at the end of September.
Al-Marsad – Arab Human Rights Centre in Golan Heights (“Al-Marsad”), in coalition with 15 organizations, including human rights groups, an academic institution, and a trade union, has submitted an emergency appeal to various United Nations experts demanding they intervene immediately to protect human rights in the occupied Syrian Golan.
Earlier this week, Al-Marsad – Arab Human Rights Centre in Golan Heights (“Al-Marsad”) presented its joint report to the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (“Committee”) during its periodic review of Israel.
