Between January and March 2026, the governorates of Quneitra and Daraa witnessed more than 169 documented violations affecting the lives, property, and environment of civilians. The fifth report issued by Al-Marsad – Arab Human Rights Center in Golan Heights, prepared by lawyer and researcher Wesam Sharaf, highlights the escalation of these violations, which included more than 87 military incursions and 40 arrest operations (each involving several detainees) – targeting shepherds, farmers, and children – in addition to the destruction of agricultural lands and the targeting of historical landmarks and vital infrastructure such as the Golan Archaeological Hospital and the Andalus Cinema.

This report provides a legal and field assessment of the escalating situation in southern Syria, where these practices constitute a clear violation of international humanitarian law and a serious attack on food security and the safety of the population.
